Collaboration is Everything. Cocobolo Tree Farm recently had the privilege of installing a variety of trees at the Daniel Oduber Airport in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We hope that in years to come our trees provide shade and a welcoming presence to people arriving to enjoy the unique natural beauty of the region. Many thanks to Andrea Blum and her team at ADC & HAS for working with us and sharing a vision of planting some specimen trees. In exchange for our tree installations we have been given a 21 foot wide mural space in the airport building.
Note the unusual brown flat seed pod on the right hand side of the mural. This is called a "Guanacaste Ear" belonging to the Guanacaste Tree, one of the majestic beauties of the region. Our goal for the mural was to convey all aspects of our business while not overwhelming people with words. We also wanted to show our respect for Central America, specifically Costa Rican culture, since our business has its home here. Many thanks to our dear friend Paul Clark who is the mural's graphic designer. We think he accomplished our goal for the mural while bringing some fun to the design. We'll, however, let you be the judge of this. If you are coming through Liberia when the new building is open look for our mural. Better yet, if you have some landscape needs contact us and tour our nursery! We promise we are an easy half an hour drive away.
